What is dead fold ?

Dead fold is the ability of a material to maintain the desired angle of a fold and not to “spring back”.

When paper is laminated to aluminium foil this can obviously be easier achieved, but paper by itself can be made in such a way that it has a satisfactory “dead fold”.
