Variable Information Printing

Variable Information Printing (VIP), refers to the printing of unique documents in one print run.

This is done by merging information from database records with a static document design. VDP is the most important driving factor in digital On Demand Printing. It allows to not simply print identical copies, but to print unique information inside an otherwise mass-printed document.

VIP is e.g. to add a number, a unique code or other specific information to a package or a label during the printing and/or Packaging process.
