What is wet-glue labelling ?
Wet-glue labelling is a process whereby labels are applied on bottles, packs or other by means of an adhesive that is applied to the labels as a part of the process. This is contrary to self-adhesive labelling whereby the label is in fact “pre-glued”.
The adhesives used in wet-glue labelling are usually starch and water based. An advantage of wet-glue labelling is that it can be done at speeds (up to 80.000 bottles/hour) that cannot be achieved with self-adhesive labels.
